Brother DR2225 Drum Counter Reset

To reset the counter on your HL-2130, HL-2132, HL-2135W , HL-2240D, HL-2242D, HL-2250DN and HL-2270DW series printers:

1. Turn on the printer (assuming it is not already on).
2. Open the front cover.
3. Press and hold the GO button for 4 seconds or until all the LED’s light up.
4. Release the GO button and close the front cover.

Your drum counter should now be reset.

Note: This should get you printing again. If you have not replaced the drum your printing will drop in quality as the drum wears down. You’ll still need to replace the drum at some stage. REMEMBER to reset the counter when you replace the drum unit.

To reset the counter on your DCP-7030, DCP-7040, DCP-7060D, DCP-7065DN, DCP-8060, DCP-8065DN, HL-2280DW, MFC-7340, MFC-7345N, MFC-7360N, MFC-7365DN, MFC-7440N, MFC-7460DN, MFC-7840W, MFC-7860DW, MFC-8460N, MFC-8660DN, MFC-8670DN, MFC-8860DN, MFC-8870DW series printers:

1. Turn on the printer (assuming it is not already on).
2. Open the front cover.
3. Press CLEAR or CLEAR/BACK button on the keyboard.
4. If you printer has a number pad press 1 to reset. If your printer doesn’t have a number pad press the UP key.
5. When the display shows ACCEPTED close the front cover

Your drum counter should now be reset.
