If your Brother MFC-9450CDN has come up with Fuser Unit End you can reset the counter using the following procedure.
- With the printer in ready state (i.e. switched on and ready to print/copy).
- Press the 3 and 9 buttons at the same time.
- This will bring up the reset menu.
- Scroll down to Fuser
- Press OK.
- You will then be prompted 1. Reset 2. Exit. Press 1 to reset the counter.
Note: Performing this reset doesn’t mean you will be able to carry on printing for ever. At some point the print quality will drop or the printer will start jamming and you will then have no choice but to replace the fuser unit (LU410-4001) or the printer.
This has been tested on the Brother MFC9450CDN but should also work on MFC9440cdn and MFC9840CDW.
