If your Brother MFC-9120CN belt unit “BU200CL” is still giving you acceptable print quality, you can reset the counter as follows:
- Plug the machine’s power cord back into the AC power outlet (electrical socket) first, and reconnect all cables and telephone line cord (if applicable). Turn on the machine’s power switch.
- Press Menu => Machine Info. => Reset Menu.
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose Belt Unit.
- Press OK.
- Press 1 to reset the belt unit counter.
- Press Stop/Exit.
Note: Performing this reset doesn’t mean you will be able to carry on printing for ever. At some point the print quality will drop and will then have no choice but to replace the belt or the printer.
This procedure has been tested on the Brother MFC9120CN but should also work on MFC9125cn MFC9320CW and MFC9325CW.
