I job I was recently called to look at was a Canon Pixma MG-6460 that was printing blank pages.
The printer was actually coming up with a error (Support Code 2103) and the ejecting the page un-printed.
Error / Support code 2103 relates to the printer not being able to detect the paper size before printing.
This is most likely due to the sensor that detect the paper size becoming dirty or other objects getting caught in the sensor.
The easiest fix for this is to simply disable the Size detection so the problem doesn’t stop the printers normal operation.
Scroll down to Device Settings
Select Print Settings.
Select Detect Paper Width.
Select Off.
The size detection is now disabled and your printer will now operate as normal.

This doesn’t work on the mx530. I’m really quite disappointed in this printer.
