Here’s how to reset the page counter on printers using the DR1070 drum unit:
For Brother HL1110 and HL1210W series printers:
- Turn the printer power switch on.
- Press the power button 4 times.
- Your drum counter is now reset.
For Brother DCP1510, DCP1610W, MFC1810, MFC1910W:
- Press Menu.
- Press the Up Arrow key to find Machine Info
- Press Ok
- Press the Up Arrow key to find Reset Drum
- Press Ok for 3 seconds
- Press the Up Arrow key to reset the drum unit counter
- Press Stop/Exit.
Note: it is recommended to reset the counter when you replace the drum unit. You can reset the drum message without replacing the drum unit but your printing will drop in quality as the drum wears down. You’ll still need to replace the drum at some stage.
