Assuming the fuser is OK it can sometimes be reset as follows:
Make sure the printer has been left long enough for the fuser to cool (15mins or so).
Turn on the power, holding the button until the “drum” light is glowing.
Wait a moment, then press the button again and the printer should start a self diagnosis and print the results of the test.
