To reset the Drum unit counter on your Brother HL2140, HL2150N, HL2170W, MFC7340, MFC7440N and MFC7840W printer or multi-function.
Please follow the guide below:
- For HL series printers (those without a scanner):
- With the cartridge door open you will see a white button. Press and hold down the white button for about 4 seconds until all the LEDs light up.
- Once all 4 LEDs are lit, release the button.
- When you close the front cover make sure that the Drum LED is now off.
- For MFC series printers (those with a scanner):
- Open the front cover.
- Press the Clear/Back key on the control panel. The display will show “REPLACE DRUM – 1.YES 2.NO”.
- Press 1 to reset the drum count.
- Close the front cover.
