After replacing the drum units DR251CL in your MFC9140CDN MFC9330CDW and MFC9340CDW colour laser printer you’ll have to reset the page counter.
The following steps are the procedure to perform the counter reset
- Turn the printer power switch on.
- Press “Settings“.
- Press “All Settings“.
- Scroll up or down by swiping or using the arrow keys to“Machine Info“ and select.
- Press “Parts Life“.
- Touch the number pad area to the right of the menu pad. The number keys will light up. Press the key to the right of 0 and below 9 (the bottom right corner of the keypad, usually a # key). Hold this key until the display changes, which allows you to press the drums listed so you can reset them.
- Select the colour of the drum you want to reset and press “Yes“.
- Press the “Home” key when you have reset the replaced colours.
For use on Brother MFC-9140CDN MFC-9330CDW and MFC-9340CDW series colour printers.
Note: This should get you printing again. If you have not replaced the drum your printing will drop in quality as the drum wears down. You’ll still need to replace the drum at some stage. REMEMBER to reset the counter when you replace the drum unit.
